Fox River Open: Preview

The Illinois Fox River Open will take place on June 11 at Hoffer Field on the campus of Judson University. The event will give athletes in all high school classes the opportunity to showcase their talent to the PBR Illinois staff. As is the case with all PBR showcases, each participant will receive their own PBR profile with showcase statistics, a video from their performance at the event, and an in-depth scouting report. Prep Baseball report is subscribed to by more than 900 colleges, and this event will give each player the opportunity to be identified and ranked.

Last year’s event featured some stand out talent, including OF/1B Jackson Mladic (2019; Wisconsin-Oshkosh), who had an event best 94 exit velocity, and RHP/C Nikolas Panico (2019; Elgin CC), who topped out at 86 MPH on the mound. Some other strong performances came from C/RHP Logan Romasanta (2019; uncommitted), OF/1B Trevor Laffin (2019; uncommitted), and C Joseph Marcucci (2019; Augustana).
