Game Notes: Parkway North defeats Ladue, 8-5



Ladue, MO: Every time Parkway North scored on Monday afternoon, Ladue responded with runs of their own on the scoreboard, but they were not able to overcome, with Parkway North coming out on top 8-5 in a non-conference matchup.

Justin Campbell provided the big blast in the first inning, a two out, two run homerun. Connor Ladoq picked up the win, giving up five runs and ten hits over five innings. Joery Reeves and Connor Faron each pitched an inning of scoreless relief, with Faron picking up the save.

  • Parkway North 2B Daniel Brodsky reached base three time, and scored all three times.
  • CF Michael Bozarth led the Parkway North offense with three hits (two singles and a double), an RBI, and a run scored.
  • C Garrett Taylor drove in the last two runs of the game, a two RBI double in the sixth inning, adding a few insurance runs.
  • Over the last two innings, the Parway North outfielders shined with CF Bozarth, LF Jon Shankner, and RF Evan Block all making diving catches. 
  •  Ladue 1B Jason Sandler led the Ladue offense, going three for three with two RBIs.
  •  Ladue C Turner Miller threw out the only runner that attempted to steal on him, posting a 1.98 pop time with a throw right on the bag.

Parkway North improves to 13-6 overall, while Ladue falls to 14-6.
