Greenwood Picks Up a Win Over Martinsville

Junior Tylor Martin picked up a complete game victory for the Greenwood Woodmen, striking out six and allowing just five hits in the ballgame. Greenwood scored three runs in the third and fourth innings taking advantage of good plate awareness and team speed. Indiana University recruit Alex Krupa went 2-3 with an RBI, scoring three runs and stealing three bases. His plus speed was on display scoring once from second on a wild pitch.

Martinsville's sophomore LHP Mason Kutruff gave up six earned while striking out six and sitting at 80-81mph with a decent slider that dove to the back foot of righties. The Artesians got their runs all in the first inning on RBI's by Seniors Patrick VanDyke and Ben Elliott and Junior David Elkins.
