Hamilton Huskies had their ace on the mound in left-hander, 2021 Brock Selvidge. Selvidge, know as one of top pitchers in the state actually provided alot of offense for the Huskies. Selvidge hit two big HRs in the game. 2023 RHP Josh Tiedemann (TCU commit) closed the door, throwing the last 4 innings for Hamilton, only allowing 1 earned run.

They tied the game after a leadoff walk and single to score a run. 2023 C Mattix Meade then hit a 3-run walk-off home run to seal the deal for the Wolves. There was some strong starting pitching on both sides from 2022 RHP Daniel Hutchison (Chandler) and 2023 RHP Bryce McKnight (Desert Vista). 2021 1B Beau Ankeney (GCU recruit) also hit his first HR of the season for the Thunder.
