PBR: Why did you choose Tulane?
Paul Gozzo: It presents advantages both athletically and academically. I wanted the best combination of the two I could get. The facilities are top tier and allow me to improve as a student and player. Lastly, the coaching staff was very welcoming and created a comfort level from the first visit.

Sal Gozzo: Tulane presented a great opportunity both on the field and in the classroom so it was the easy choice.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Paul Gozzo: St. Johns, Maryland, Stony Brook, Boston College

Sal Gozzo: Other than Tulane, I was considering Maryland, St. Johns, and Stonybrook

PBR:  Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?
Paul Gozzo: Ft. Myers, Florida in the WWBA Underclass PG Tournament

Sal Gozzo: They first saw at a Perfect Game tournament in Florida.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Paul Gozzo: Goose's Gamers and traveling to Georgia for two weeks on a team bus.

Sal Gozzo: I play for the Goose's Gamers in the summer and my most memorable moment was winning a tournament at Diamond Nation.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced ?
Paul Gozzo: Austin Bergner

Sal Gozzo: Matt Cleveland

PBR: How excited were you to have your commitment out of the way?
Paul Gozzo: Very excited to say I committed to Tulane and just work on improving my game.

Sal Gozzo: I had a tough time sleeping that night because it was like this huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.

PBR: What were your stats last season?
Paul Gozzo: .400 avg, 25 RBIs, 12 2B

Sal Gozzo: .360 avg, 2 HR, 18 RBIs

PBR: How's the outlook for this upcoming high school season?
Paul Gozzo: Very positive. The team has a solid chance to repeat a state title. Just have to continue to improve as a team and individually.

Sal Gozzo: It's going to be tough to try and repeat for a state championship but I think we still have a solid chance.
