Kansas 2026 Class Rankings Update

After another record breaking summer where we got to see 1000s of plays at PBR KS events and Creekside tournaments, it is time again to update the Kansas Class of 2026 Rankings. This update features over 15 new names to what was already one of the strongest classes in recent KS history. Below, we take a close look into some of the biggest rankings risers and newcomers to the list in this update below as well as the top 10. (click the player profile pictures for more info)
Risers
There are always players that make impressive jumps between rankings that really standout as the move up the board. Here are just a few of the top ranked and biggest movers from this update.

Benjamin Burton OF / 3B / Olathe East, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 3
Few players in recent KS history have made the consistent major gains that Benjamin Burton has shown. The right-handed hitter continues to tick up in every measurable and skill every time we see him. With one of the best frames in the class Burton shows no signs of slowing down with a sky high celling. A must see prospect.

Myles Ross SS / C / Maranatha Academy, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 6
Ross really stood out on both sides of the ball at this year's NPI in Atlanta where he hit for average and power and showed off high end defense for USA Prime. Ross has not only made a big jump in his skill sets, but also physically. Ross has a real chance to be an offensive shortstop at the next level.

James Hunt RHP / OF / Blue Valley West, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 5
Still a two-way prospect Hunt continues to see his velo shoot up on the mound. Now into the mid 80s, the right-hander really competes. His arm action and frame promise there is more to come from Hunt. |
Newcomers
We constantly strive to see as many players as many times as possible so it is always exciting when we see a player for the first time who makes a splash into the rankings. Below are some of the top ranked newcomers to the rankings.

Grayton Gross LHP / OF / Salina Central, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 3
Gross was impressive on both sides of the ball at the MOKAN Fall Open. On the mound, the left-hander showed arm strength, up to 83. He could really see his stock rise as he continues to polis his command and breaking ball. Offensively, the right-handed hitter had an impressive round showing high-end pop and a swing that will play against elite stuff.

Brody Cooper RHP / Shawnee Heights, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 6
The long right-hander sat in the lower 80s for most of his pen, but ended his showcase by pumping a strike a the bottom of the zone at 86 mph. Cooper is a right-hander to follow as he continues to add strength to his long frame.

Kory Serocki OF / LHP / Salina Central, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 48 / POS: 8
An athletic left-handed hitter who showed a solid swing and flashed some advanced pop at the MOKAN Fall Open. Another high follow prospect out of Salina Centrals 2026 class making them a team to follow.

A solid all around athlete, Epke really stands out for his knack of finding barrels. All summer long, the left-handed hitter proved he could hit all kinds of pitching. Epke enter the rankings in the top 50, and could very easily see his name rocket up the rankings as he adds strength and speed.

Left-handed hitting catchers are always in demand and Hackleman shows a short and efficient swing with bat speed that will play at the next level.
