The Kansas high school baseball season has kicked off. Over the next several weeks,  we’ll be publishing our team spotlights during the 2021 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications. Perennially, we’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team analysis.

If you would like your team covered, please have your head coach email us at [email protected]

TOP PLAYERS

ALDEN KNEDLER

C / 1B / DODGE CITY, KS / 2021

The Senior has a strong build at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds and shows some big upside on the diamond.  The physically strong and good running athlete is currently committed to playing football next year at Fort Hays State.

AARON TRENT

3B / OF / DODGE CITY, KS / 2021

The uncommitted senior is described by the coaching staff as being a great teammate and leader for the Red Demons.  He has been clocked at a 6.53 60 by the coaching staff and they believe that he will be a steal for a college program.

ERUBIAL DURON

P / C / 3B / CF / DODGE CITY , KS / 2021

The uncommitted Senior is a true utility man for the Red Demons and the coaches describe him as being their best all-around player.  Erubial is being tasked to be able to carry the load both offensively and on the mound this Spring.

OUTLOOK

The Red Demons coaching staff believe their biggest strengths in 2021 is their overall team speed and being able to put pressure on opposing defenses.  They also feel like they have enough pitching depth that will help them navigate the Spring.

The biggest question mark heading into the 2021 campaign is their overall depth throughout the roster.  Getting guys who lack previous Varsity experience up to game speed will be crucial for them early on in the season.
