Kansas and Missouri went head-to-head in the KC Metro All-Star Game on Monday at Johnson County 3&2 in Lenexa, Kansas. Kansas scored four times in the fourth inning to take home the 6-2 win.

Missouri scored first and took a 1-0 lead when Spencer Patrick (Fort Osage) doubled and later scored on a Zane Barr (Fort Osage) sacrifice fly.  Kansas answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single by Andrew Stewart (Lawrence) that drove in Kyle Abrahamson (Lawrence Free State).  Nick Modrcin (Blue Valley Southwest) later scored on a Brady Petersohn (Blue Valley) ground out to make the score 2-1 in the bottom of the third.

Kansas broke the game open in the fourth after back-to-back singles by Cade Wilson (Olathe East) and Chase Elias (St. Thomas Aquinas) and a walk by Zack Todd (SM Northwest), Notre Dame recruit Cater Putz doubled with the bases loaded to give Kansas a 4-1 lead.  Justin Tinkler's one out single singled to center field plated Todd to increase the Kansas lead, and Putz would score on a Jared Sharp ground out to make the score 6-1, Kansas.

A pair of Northland rivals teamed up to trim the trim the Kansas lead to 6-2, trying to spark a Missouri rally.  Liberty North's James Perry singled and drove in Liberty's Logan Steenstra, but Missouri would leave the bases loaded in the top of the seventh and Kansas would claim the win.

Spencer Patrick (Fort Osage) and Zane Barr (Fort Osage) lead Missouri with two hits each, while Kyle Abrahamson (Lawrence Free State) paced Kansas with two hits of his own.

Jon Moll (Olathe South) went three innings for Kansas with three strikeouts and one walk.  He allowed just one earned run on two hits.
