Senior right-hander Matthew Wilburn took the mound for Garrard County last Tuesday on the road at Lincoln County. The result was a 6-0 Golden Lions win that saw Wilburn turn in a dominant performance.

Wilburn stifled the Lincoln County offense for seven innings in throwing a four-hit shutout. He walked two and struck out 14 in the complete game effort to lead Garrard County to their eleventh win of the season. Wilburn, who remains uncommitted, is ranked No. 50 in Kentucky’s 2015 class.

For his performance on the field, Matthew Wilburn has been selected as the PBR Kentucky Pitcher of the Week.
