LCA Avenge Lone Loss of the Season With Win Over Jefferson Forest

Christian Gordon threw a one-hit shutout while the Liberty Christian Bulldog offense took advantage of 12 walks to defeat the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers 11-0 in six innings.

Both teams qould make quick work of each other through two inning and then LCA began to threaten in the top of the third inning after back-to-back walks to start the third from JF starter Griffin Agee. A sac bunt would move runners to second and third, then another walk would load the bases. The fourth walk of the inning would put LCA on the board for the first time. Jacob Williams would then single to left field that would score two more to give LCA the 3-0 lead early.

Gordon would strikeout the side in the bottom of the third and LCA would again threaten in the top of the fourth. LCA would get two runners on with a single and walk with two outs in the inning. Another walk would load the bases again and two more walks would add two more runs for LCA. LCA would then score on a wild pitch, an error, and a HBP with the bases still loaded to get five runs total and extend their lead to 8-0.
LCA would add three more in the sixth inning off RBI singles from Emmanuel Johnson and Gordon along with an RBI groudout from Noah Robbins to make the score 11-0.

Gordon cruised in this game on the mound for the Bulldogs, striking out 14 hitters with only one walk and one HBP. He would allow one hit in the second inning and nothing else the rest of the game.

Williams led the Bulldogs going 1-for-3 with three RBI. Johnson was 1-for-1 with two RBI. Quade Tomlin had two RBI

Caleb Eckart had the lone hit for Jefferson Forest.
