Welcome to Looking Ahead, our look at key matchups that will occur in the coming week from around the Commonwealth. With pending weather Tuesday, many of these games are likely to be moved, so make sure to check on games before you head out this week.

Without further ado, here are games that we find to be especially interesting in the coming week:

LOOKING AHEAD: MARCH 19-24

No. 13 Oakton vs. No. 6 Lake Braddock, Monday March 19
This game has been moved up from Tuesday to avoid the expected weather. This matchup between Fairfax powers pits one of the top teams in Region 6D against one of the top teams in 6C. Its a potential State Tournament preview and will have a lot of talent on the field.

No. 2 Benedictine vs. No. 21 Collegiate, Thursday March 22
This Richmond matchup pits the last two VISAA Division I State Champs against each other. Both teams are strong this season and are among the favorites to win the State Champion this year as well.

No. 23 Western Albemarle vs. Spotswood

No. 12 Atlee vs. Deep Run
No. 6 Lake Braddock vs. Battlefield

Friday March 23
Menchville vs. Kecoughtan
Gretna vs. Dan River
Potomac vs. Fauquier
South County vs. No. 14 Patriot

Saturday March 24
Greenbrier Christian vs. Riverdale Baptist (MD)
