GAMES OF THE WEEK

#6 Liberty Christian at Jefferson Forest, Monday, May 2
The second meeting between the two Lynchburg powerhouses will be must-see baseball. If LCA wins this game, they will have essentially locked up the Jefferson District. If Jefferson Forest takes the game, they will have split the season series which will leave the District wide open. This has become the premier matchup in the Lynchburg area over the last few years and it will be hard for this game to disappoint.

#12 Independence at #9 Riverside, Tuesday, May 3
The Rams took the first matchup on Thursday as Steven Trone (Old Dominion) fired a shutout for Riverside. Look for the Rams to start junior lefty Kyle Johnson (Duke) and for the Tigers to start either Bradley Gagen (Tennessee) or Chad Yates. The Tigers were shut out in back to back games to end the week and will look to get their bats going against Briar Woods on Monday and then carry that over into this matchup Tuesday.

Mechanicsville at #1 Hanover, Friday, May 6
A premier matchup in the Richmond area features the top team in Virginia taking on its rival. Hanover blasted Mechanicsville in their first meeting, but the Mustangs are on the short list of teams that could derail the Hawks' season prior to the State Tournament.
