Close to 50 players from Maryland and Virginia participated in this year's MD Top Prospect Games at the beautiful Joe Cannon Stadium. Players were put through a pro-style workout and played one simulated game in front of our PBR Mid-Atlantic staff.

Throughout the next week or so, our staff will highlight key performers and top uncommitted players that showcased well at this year's MD Top Prospect Games.

2024 C Parker Bell (Urbana)

Parker Bell C / 3B / Urbana, MD / 2024

An uncommitted catcher that should be gaining a ton of traction, the Urbana product possesses a strong, yet versatile 5-foot-9, 190 pound frame with athleticism that impacts the game on both sides. It's an offense first profile, showcasing the ability to hit for strength to the pull side with consistent hard contact, backed up by a top exit velo of 96.3 and an average exit velo of 90.0 during BP. With average to above average bat to ball skills, Bell showcases the ability to lift to the pull side and create backspin and carry to the pull side alley. The actions are smooth, creating consistent separation in the hands in the back load and controlled intent with the barrel through contact. As awareness for the barrel increases and strength continues to be added to the frame, look for Bell to become a really nice offensive backstop option for a program. Defensively, the arm strength needs to improve, however the quick, clean transfers make up for it, as well as accurate throws to the bag. A high octane, hard working player.
