It is with great excitement that we release to you today, our first update of 2023 to the MD/DE Class of 2023 rankings with our Top 225 release. The movement is scarce since our last update in the Fall, however we do see a few New Faces and some Risers throughout 50-225. Below we will highlight a few of the top uncommitted players inside of the 51-150 range.  

 

One of the highest risers in this latest update, up to 96, catcher Nelson Grajales (Arundel) showcased extremely well not only at our State Games last November, but also showed added strength and athleticism at our Preseason All-State earlier this month. A physical 6-foot, 190 pound backstop, Grajales creates excellent extension through contact with strength portrayed to both gaps. Arm strength is present behind the dish, working to 2.03-2.16 pop times. 

 

Another standout at our State Games last November, outfielder George Prokop (St. Mary's) rises into the top 150 (138) in this update. The uncommitted 6-foot-2, 180 pounder possesses a lean, athletic frame with above-average speed (6.85 60-Yard) that impacts the game in multiple facets. A simple back load, Prokop utilizes torque in the hips with loud line drive tendencies to the gaps and alleys.
