Madison Future Prospects Showcase: Preview

The Prep Baseball Report Future Prospects Showcase and Educational Camp for the 2022 and 2023 graduating classes will take place this Sunday, April 8, at GRB Academy in Windsor, WI. The event has nearly 50 participants registered and there’s still time to sign up by clicking HERE.

This event has a dual function. For most participants, this will be their first showcase event -- an initial step toward achieving a player’s baseball goals. Part of this event is educational: there will be a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level. The second function of the event is to identify young talent, and at the same time getting valuable coaching in the showcase process.

The Future Prospects Showcases and Educational Camps will also be used as an identifier for this summer’s Junior Future Games 13U and 14U teams. The 2018 event will be different than in year’s past. Wisconsin will put together one highly-competitive teams at each age group.

As the preeminent scouting service across our 35-plus state coverage area, Prep Baseball Report is looking to identify promising young prospects at an earlier age so we can more accurately track their progress through their career.

This Madison event is becoming one of the most important on our preseason futures showcase track. It’s annually churned out some of the best players in their state’s respective classes. One of last year’s standouts was RHP/INF Vincent Trapani (Eau Claire Memorial) who’s since established himself as one of the top freshman arms in the state and possibly even the Midwest.
