March is finally here and baseball tryouts have officially hit the ground running for Public Schools across the Old Line State. This year, we have decided to keep the same format as last year as we will keep two separate rankings throughout the Spring season. All Maryland Private schools will be considered in this year's weekly PBR Maryland Private Schools Top 10 rankings while only Public schools will be considered in our traditional PBR Maryland Public Schools Power 25. An update to these rankings will be released every Monday throughout the season.

Season Snapshot

The Swarmin' Hornets return seven varsity starters and look to have a ton of experience coming back on the bump. Seniors Jake Garrett (Davis & Elkins), Cam Love (Virginia Wesleyan), Evan McFarland and Junior righty Darin Kuskie are all coming back with varsity innings under their belt. Sophomore righty Bryce Mitchell had a huge Fall and Winter and looks to give coach Frye some added innings on the bump.

Offensively, Damascus will be led by the likes of Seniors Bryce Curry (Frostburg State), Jake Garrett (Davis & Elkins), Cam Love (Virginia Wesleyan), and Zack Torres. Juniors Adam Ippolitto and Chase Manion will bring speed and athleticism to the top of the order, with big power coming from Curry and Garrett behind them.
