March is finally here and baseball tryouts have officially hit the ground running for Public Schools across the Old Line State. This year, we have decided to keep the same format as last year as we will keep two separate rankings throughout the Spring season. All Maryland Private schools will be considered in this year's weekly PBR Maryland Private Schools Top 10 rankings while only Public schools will be considered in our traditional PBR Maryland Public Schools Power 25. An update to these rankings will be released every Monday throughout the season.

Season Snapshot

This year's Sherwood Warrior team will have a different feel to it than just a year ago as they completed the perfect season, going undefeated on their way to the 4A State Title. As the Warriors return a plethora of key players, they also lose key contributors on both sides of the ball. Righty Brett Seils (Towson) was one of the most dominant arms in the state last year, and losing a top of the rotation arm like Seils will be difficult to overcome throughout the season. The Warriors also graduated standout middle infielder Jake Becker (Towson), catcher Brendan Kleiman (California PA), and corner infielder Daulton Stewart (Shenandoah)

Offensively, the Warriors return key offensive threats with the likes of Jake Andre, Ryan Bouma, Josh Hollowell, Niko Pernie, Brian Scott (Maryland), Jake Shalvi, and Luke Weichel. Another year of development and experience should bod well for these upperclassmen and give the Warriors some nice depth throughout their lineup.

On the bump, the Warriors return Senior standout Steven Tameris (Frostburg) who will look to provide the experience and leadership needed for the staff, followed by a slew of arms ready to take the next step. Ben Berger, Daniel Combs, and Josh Hollowell all look to add depth throughout the rotation, and will be leaned on heavily to provide key innings this season.
