Today, PBR Oklahoma takes a look at the Top 20 most read Oklahoma high school player profiles from  November 2017 from number one down to twenty. Each players full profile can be seen by clicking on their picture.

Nate Wohlgemuth RHP / OF / Owasso, OK / 2020

Wohlgemuth, has a barrel-chested frame at 5-foot-9, 220 pounds. At the plate, he was 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and an RBI, but he was most impressive on the mound. He faced six batters, striking out five, and tied an event record by hitting 95 with his fastball. He has an up-tempo, athletic delivery with a fast arm and quality leg drive. He sat 92-94 and showed an excellent changeup with some fade at 80-82. He breaking ball had slurvy shape and some depth at 75-79. At the plate, he is short to the ball with strong hands and a rotational finish, 91 mph exit velo. Ran a 6.72 60 and threw 95 mph from the outfield. 


Isaac Webb SS / 2B / Collinsville, OK / 2020

8-20-17
A developing 5-foot-9, 120-pound frame. Offensively, the switch hitter currently shows better from the right-side. From the right-side, Webb bats from and open and back leg heavy set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a short hanging stride for timing,  hands are short and quick to the ball. In BP, shows a middle-to-pull approach, found some barrels, 76 mph exit velo. Runs a 4.21 home-to-first from the left-side. Defensively, shows excellent feet with soft hands and easy range. Throws with a loose arm from a 3/4 slot that is already advanced and will continue to get better with size and strength, some accuracy, 82 mph. In the game, went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base.


Jake Adams RHP / OF / Bethany , OK / 2018

5-21-17
A 6-foot-3, 190-pound long and athletic frame with some strength for this two-way player who really shines on the mound. The right-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with rhythm, high-leg kick, and glides to the dish under control. The arm action is long and loose with a full arm-circle and fast out front with some effort from a high-3/4 slot. The fastball jumps out of Adams' hand with some downhill tilt, 86-87 mph. Slider flashes some late and sharp action with 11/5 shape, backs up at times, 72-78 mph. Changeup shows some fade 78-79 mph. With his athleticism, frame, and arm speed, Adams is a talented prospect on the mound that will only get better as he continues to dial in his command and consistency. At the dish, the right-handed hitter uses a moderate knee-knock leg kick to launch his hands on a flat path. Stayed in the pull gap with some carry in BP, barreling most balls. Posted an exit velo of 83. In the outfield, shows athletic, confident actions. Runs through throws, some accuracy, 83 mph. Runs a 7.34 60.


James Dunlap 3B / SS / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2019

10-29-17
A long 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame that continues to put on size and strength and still has more room. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a relaxed, quiet, narrow, open, and upright set-up. Uses a small load with a moderate leg kick before launching his hands on an uphill path the a high finish and good extension. In BP, showed a middle to pull approach, mostly flat with some lift, a few barrels. Exit velo of 85 mph. Runs a 7.2 60. Defensively, shows clean footwork and excellent soft and consistent hands along with elite arm strength. Throws from multiple slots with a clean arm action and is very accurate, top velo of 88 mph across the diamond. In the game, collected a hit with solid contact through the 6 hole. 


Kaden Polcovich SS / Deer Creek, OK / 2017

Transferred to Northwest Florida State JC from Kentucky.

Oklahoma recruit. 5-foot-10, 180-pound middle infielder, physically advanced frame with defined lower half. High-level athlete, ran a 6.69 60, fourth-fastest at the event. Offensively, a polished switch-hitter with a middle-opposite field approach. Hits from a balanced base, slight squat, moderate leg kick, hanging longer from the right side. Strength in hands, short and compact to the ball, though slightly more consistent from the right side during BP. Went 0-for-2 in game play. At shortstop, Polcovich showed excellent range and an above-average arm.


Bryce Crawford RHP / OF / Dale, OK / 2019

10/29/17
A 6-foot-2, 185-pound lean frame with raw strength throughout. On the mound, works from an average tempo delivery with high set hands and an explosive finish. Arm circle is full and clean and shows arm speed out front, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball has some downhill tilt at 84-86 mph. Changeup shows late fade thrown with full arm speed at 80-81 mph. Showed a few breaking balls in warm ups, still developing the pitch. In the game, Crawford threw enough strikes with velo to be very effective.


Carson Atwood RHP / 3B / Silo , OK / 2020

10-29-17
A physically advanced 6-foot, 190-pound durable frame with strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open and athletic set up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load with a moderate knee knock leg kick, drops his hands slightly before pulling them through an uphill path with some bat speed and leverage. In BP, shows a dead pull approach with pop, finding mostly barrels and showing strength. Exit velo of 87 mph. Runs a 7.34 60. Defensively, has a frame that will likely keep him at third base where he could develop into a plus defender with above average feet and hands and excellent arm strength. Shows the ability to throw from multiple slots with accuracy using a short arm stroke in the back, 85 mph across the diamond consistently. In the game, put a couple good swings on balls showing advanced pop.  


Bradan Pierce RHP / 1B / Enid, OK / 2018

10/29/17
A 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with long legs. Works from an average tempo delivery with good rhythm,high leg kick, and excellent leg drive down the mound. Arm action is long in the back with a quick change of direction before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 86-88 mph with downhill tilt. Slider is sharp with 11/5 shape and late depth 73-74 mph. Changeup has late fade and is commanded well, 78-79 mph. Pierce was dominant in his two innings striking out five to go along with two walks and one. 

 

 


Max Huffling LHP / 1B / Deer Creek , OK / 2019

10-29-17
A physically impressive 6-foot-8, 225-pound frame with strength and length. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly front foot heavy set-up with the barrel tipped towards the pitcher and some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load, with some arm bar and a short stride before launching quick and strong hands on a slightly uphill path with with bat speed and quality extension. In BP, shows a pull gap approach with consistent lift and strength, leaving the yard multiple times, one of the best rounds of the day. Exit velo of 90 mph. Runs a 7.53 60. Defensively, shows deliberate and clean actions around the bag, 78 mph to second base. In the game, earned two free bases and launched a towering home run over the left field wall and net. 


Cole Hill SS / RHP / Rejoice Christian , OK / 2020

10/29/17 
A 5-foot-7, 140-pound frame packed with strength. On the mound, works from a deliberate wind-up with a moderate leg kick and short stride. Arm circle is moderate with a quick change of direction in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with hand speed out front. Fastball keeps its plane at 80-82 mph and touches 83. Curveball has late sharp depth with 11/5 shape at 67-68 mph. Changeup shows slight fade, 69-70 mph. In the game, Hill challenged hitters, filling of the strike zone with all three pitches. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced and athletic set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth knee-knock load with a slight arm-bar before launching his quick hands through the zone on a flat path. In BP, shows an all fields, flat approach with some occasional lift and carry to the pull side, mostly barrels. Exit vleo of 84 mph. Runs a 6.76 60. Defensively, shows quick, clean, and athletic actions with advanced hands and feet and excellent range. Throws from multiple slots with a quick release and arm strength, 83 mph across the diamond with accuracy. In the game, stayed on a curveball punching a single through the 6 hole. 


Cooper Harris C / RHP / Choctaw, OK / 2020

8-3-17
A lean 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, athletic, balanced stance with rhythm throughout. Uses a rocking load with a short stride, some length in the swing, good extension. In BP, shows a mostly middle of the field, flat approach with some pull side pop, mostly barrels, 87 mph exit velo. Defensively, shines behind the plate as an advanced receiver and blocker with strong hands. On the throws to second, shows some length in the back with arm speed and whip through a high-3/4 slot, 81 mph, 1.95-2.01 showcase pop times, some accuracy. 

 

 


Cayden Aldridge C / Tahlequah, OK / 2018

3-28-17
Defensively, the Oklahoma recruit boasts a strong arm with carry and excellent accuracy, showing 1.89-1.95 pop times between innings to go along with next-level blocking abilities. At the plate, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound muscular right-handed hitter shines just as brightly. Using strength and high-end bat speed, Aldridge consistently produces extra-base contact with a middle to pull approach and some lift.


Cole Embrey OF / OF / Mustang, OK / 2018

2-11-17
A 5-foot-11, 150-pound slender frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, a left-handed hitter, all fields, line drive approach. Hits from an upright, very relaxed set-up, uses a hanging leg kick for timing, short to contact, loose hands, on time, high finish. Has a knack for finding the barrel, 80 mph exit velo. Runs a 6.97 laser-timed 60. Defensively, athletic, aggressive, and confident actions. Charges the ball well with good hands.  Throws from a high-3/4 slot with some accuracy, 75 mph, some accuracy. 


John Baer LHP / 1B / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2018

A 6-foot, 245-pound frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an upright and open set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a slight leg kick, sinking into his backside on the load before launching with quality leg drive and a flat path through extension. In BP, was best when he went oppo, found a few barrels. Exit velo of 88 mph. Runs an 8.02 60. Defensively, shows some athleticism around the bag, accurate arm, 66 mph to second base. In the game, showed patience and some barrel control, earning two walks.The left-hander works solely out of the stretch with average tempo and effort. Uses a high leg kick with a slight coil before sinking into his back leg and striding toward the plate. Arm action is full and fluid coming through a low-¾ slot. Fastball has risen to 77-78 mph and shows deception with arm-side run and some sink. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed with excellent late fade. Bear charged the zone in his inning of work striking out one and giving up a pair of hits.


Tyler Hankins 1B / RHP / Norman North, OK / 2019

10-29-17
A physically impressive 6-foot-6, 250-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open and upright set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a big knee-knock load with a moderate stride, short to the ball with a slightly uphill path. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach with some pop and lift, mostly barrels. Exit velo of 80 mph. In the game, hit a sharp groundball to short.Works from an abbreviated wind-up with rhythm. Arm action is full and loose, coming through an over the top slot. Fastball sits 78-80 mph with lots of downhill tilt, and looks to have more in the tank. Curveball show big 12/6 shape with gradual depth at 63-65 mph. In the game, Hankins kept hitters off balance by throwing both pitches for strikes consistently. 


Dax Fulton LHP / 1B / Mustang , OK / 2020

8-3-17
Fulton, a recent Vanderbilt commit, has long limbs and a strong lower half at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds. He pitches with a clean, up-tempo delivery and comes through a high-3/4 slot with a fluid arm action. His fastball sits 84-87 with occasional cut. His changeup has late fade and depth at 75-77. His curveball shows excellent depth when down in the zone. It has 1/7 shape and ranges from 73-79. 


Derek Bridges LHP / Duncan, OK / 2019

A 6-foot, 190-pound projectable frame. The left-hander works from and easy, fluid, and smooth delivery. Throws across his body, using a full arm circle and a low-3/4 slot. Fastball sits 80-82 mph and occasionally touches 83 mph. Slider is still developing, but flashes late 2/8 shape at 68-70 mph. Shows deception with consistent swings and misses in the zone. Bridges put up impressive statistics last spring and summer. 


Carson Lee C / Yukon , OK / 2021

10/29/17
A developing 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly wide and back leg heavy set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a small load and stride, path is short to the ball and flath through contact. In BP, shows a pull and mostly flat approach, some barrels, got better as his round went on and found his timing. Exit velo of 64 mph. Runs a 7.75 60. Defensively, an average blocker, slightly late to the ball receiving. Consistent showcase pop times of 2.15-2.16 with a top velo of 70 mph and excellent accuracy from a ¾ slot. In the game, continued to put throws on the bag to throw out runners and made a couple good blocks on breaking balls. 


Braylen Wimmer SS / 2B / Yukon, OK / 2019

8-3-17
A a recent South Carolina commits, 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame with long legs, very projectable. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced, athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate, hanging stride for timing, very quick hands, and flat bat path. In BP, shows a pull gap, flat approach, was consistently on time and found barrels, one of the best rounds of the event. Exit velo of 89 mph that will continue to rise as he puts on size and strength. Runs a 6.76 60. Defensively, shows advanced hands and feet with consistently clean and confident actions. Throws from a low-3/4 slot, 81 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Easly one of the top SS at the Future Games. 


Ian Daugherty C / RHP / Kingfisher, OK / 2021

8-20-17
A physically advanced 6-foot-1,180-pound frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a simple and smooth load with a short stride for timing. Hands are short to the ball, barrel stays in the zone a long time, slightly uphill path, good extension, quality leg drive. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, launching most balls to the pull side gap. Found consistent barrels, excellent round, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 4.74 home-to-first. Defensively, shows above average receiving and advanced blocking. Posted consistent 1.96-2.08 showcase pop times with clean footwork and exchanges, short arm action from a 3/4 slot, some are strength, 72 mph. In the game, went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
