SEASON OUTLOOK
The 2018 Titans will look to build on their success from a season ago. Last year, Carl Albert made it all the way to the state semi-finals before running into the undefeated and eventual state champions, Shawnee HS. The Titans will have a different look this year, only returning five starters and one pitcher with more than 15 innings. They will likely lean on the senior leadership of Zane Alexander and Oklahoma Wesleyan commit Jordan Compton

Offensively, the Titans will rely on their table setters to get on base and create havoc with their speed. AlexanderCompton, and Jr. Carter LaValley will all look to build on what they did last year at the top of the lineup. Jr.  Patrick Murphy may add some pop to the middle of the lineup.

On the mound, Compton will likely lead the staff with experience and stuff. Probable additions to the rotation will be junior newcomers  LHP Bo Duren Jr., LHP Carson Thomas and RHP Patrick Murphy. All three have shown that they could throw big innings for the Titans this spring.

Defensively, like all good teams, Carl Albert will be strongest up the middle. Alexander will captain the outfield joined by Murphy who will add even more speed, while LaValley and Compton will lead the way on the infield.

One more player who could have a big impact, if healthy, is So. INF Preston Flowers.
