Each week throughout the spring, PBR scouts will be following action across Region X and the Junior College baseball scene. With most schools in Region X beginning their 2020 campaign this past week, we at PBR will begin our weekly blog, the NC JUCO: Week in Review. Each week we will update each North Carolina JC programs schedule, scores, and notes.

DI JUCOs
Louisburg
- Defeated Pitt CC 8-7 in a midweek contest
- Dawson Painter and David Cucci homered in the game
- Took 2 of 3 from Paul D. Camp CC on the weekend. W 3-0, W 4-0(7inn), L 7-2
- Tyler Shepherd got the mound win in game 1 tossing 7 shutout innings with 8 K’s
- Jack Dragurn and Ahmaad Goldson combined for the game 2 shoutout with 13 K’s
DII JUCOs
Brunswick CC
- Swept a weekend series against ECU Club Baseball W 5-4, W 8-6(7inn), W 8-6
- Team combined for 10 hits in game 2 with Josh Kidd getting the win on the mound
- Cole Bolton got the pitching win in game 3 with Penn Sealey getting the save
Catawba Valley CC
- Took 3 of 4 versus USC Union on the weekend. W 4-0, W 24-3, W 11-1(5inn), L 2-1
- Blake Dockery tossed a complete game 7 inning no hitter in game 1
- Zac Summerville, Mac Beam, and Jackson Brown homered in game 2
- Noah Love hit his second homer of the weekend in game 3
Wake Tech CC
- Defeated William Peace JV 13-3(7inn) in a midweek contest
- Lost 2 of 3 to Caldwell CC on the weekend W 11-3, L 4-2, L 13-12
Pitt CC
- Dropped a midweek game to Louisburg 8-7
- Dropped 2 of 3 at the Stinger Invitational at Florence Darlington CC
- Split with East Georgia College, W 5-1, L 4-3
- Lost to Walters State CC 8-1
- Tom Caufield went 1-3 with a 2B and 2 RBI’s in the win over East Georgia College
Guilford Tech CC
- Split with Rockingham CC on the weekend. L 9-1, W 10-2
- Chase Pyrtle went 1-3 with a homerun and 2 RBI’s in the win
Lenoir CC
- Won 3 of 4 against Allegany College of Maryland. L 6-5, W 11-1(6inn), W 3-2, W 8-2
- Blake Gipson got the mound win in game 2 striking out 6 in 6 innings of work.
- Harrison Neese got the win in relief in game 3 tossing 2 shutout innings with 4 K’s
Southeastern CC
- Defeated NC Weslyan JV 28-5 in a midweek game.
- Chase Orrock went 3-3 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBI’s in the win.
- Got swept by USC Lancaster on the weekend. L 9-1, L 7-2, L 8-7
Fayetteville Tech CC
- Split with Barton College JV in a midweek doubleheader. W 3-2, L 4-3
- Turner Sircy got the win with Tripp Creech earning the save
DIII JUCOs
Rockingham CC
- Split with Guilford Tech CC on the weekend. W 9-1, L 10-2
- Bennet Nooe went 2-5 with a 2B and 2 RBI’s in the win
Surry CC
- Lost 2 of 3 to Roane State CC on the weekend. L 6-0, W 7-4, L 11-0
- John Marion went 3-3 with 2 RBI’s in the win
Caldwell CC
- Won 2 of 3 versus Wake Tech CC over the weekend. L 11-3, W 4-2, W 13-12
- Scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th in game 3 for the walk off win.
