What Has To Happen to Advance

A strong early schedule prepped the Knights for the post-season run which sees them on a 9 game winning streak.  Offensively there is some depth to the lineup and the pitching staff can matchup over the course of a three game series.  Having already won an extra inning game and another 1 run game, look for the Knights to excel in close games.

A Look at West Columbus

Three Rivers 1A/2A:  13-3 (2nd)

Path to the Regional Final

Round 2: Northside-Pinetown (2-1 in 10)
Round 3: Perquimans (10-0)
Round 4: Bear Grass Charter (13-0)

What Has To Happen to Advance

A solid 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation will but West Columbus in a position to have success early in the series.  The offense has been hot and cold at times throughout the year but has definitely heated up in the state tournament. If the series becomes a battle of the bullpens, the offense will need to score.  If the games stay low scoring, there is enough fire power on the bump to take close games.
