PBR: Why did you choose Nebraska Omaha?

I visited the school on Friday and the coaching staff really put them over the top. The job that Coach Porter and Coach Strawn have done there the last three years has been fun to watch as a fan, and I’m extremely excited to be a part of something special.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Concordia and Doane

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?How did your relationship develop with them?

The first time the coaching staff saw me play was over the summer. I emailed them this fall and Porter invited me to camp. This past week I contacted him again and he invited me out to visit.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Just talking to the coaches I could tell that they were passionate about the game and about the program, and I can see myself competing there. The new field doesn’t hurt either.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

There have been a ton of people that have helped me get to this point, but I’d say Tom Oldham has helped me the most. I’m always out at his facility catching bullpens, including many from current UNO pitchers. He also really pushed for me to go to UNO.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

I will be redshirting my freshmen year.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Probably winning state when I was 12 years old. That was easily my favorite team to play on and the year that made me fall in love with the sport.

PBR: Who is the best player you have competed against?

I’ll probably have to go with Max Anderson. He can hit anything that’s pitched to him and after at bats can just leave you in awe. I was really impressed with him this spring.
