Between the big arm of senior Casey Green and the big bats of the Cadets team, Benedictine walked away with this one early. Benedictine scored six in the first, two in the second, and three in the third to finish this one off in five innings by a score of 11-0.

Green got us going in the first showing his command and efficiency on the mound allowing only one baserunner before retiring the side with a groundout to Baylor at shortstop. It wouldn't take long for Benedictine to strike as the first two batters were walked and the three hitter Jay Woolfolk hit a single through the left side to make it 1-0. A few wild pitches and passed balls later senior Jack Carpin would hit a two run homerun to make it 6-0 in favor of the Cadets.

In the top of the 2nd Green would strikeout two and get a groundout to retire the side in order. As the lineup turned over for the Cadets so did the run column as Baylor struck first in the 2nd inning with a big solo homerun over the left field fence, only to be followed up by Tulane commit Brett Cook who would also hit a homerun over the left field fence to make it 8-0 Benedictine.

To start the 3rd Green would get a swinging strikeout and three batters later would get another swinging strikeout to end the inning for Flint Hill. Two singles and a wild pitch would make it 9-0 before Baylor would come back to the plate for a repeat performance. He would once again hit a homerun, this time out of left center over the scoreboard. This two run homerun would make it 11-0.

That would be all of the offense on the day for either team as Benedictine would wrap this one up in five with an impressive performance by Baylor and company.

Baylor would finish 2-2 on the day with three runs scored, three RBI, and two homeruns. Cook went 1-2 with a homerun, two runs scored, and one RBI. Carpin was 1-2 on the day with a homerun and two RBI's. Green threw five strong innings and held Flint Hill to two singles and struck out seven while walking only one.

For Flint Hill George Rizzo got the only two hits of the day going 2-2 with two singles off of Green.
