Game Preview:  The Royals enter the week sitting atop the CCAA-Sunset league standings while the Panthers have an outside chance of claiming a title if they can win both games this week. The Royals have been explosive on offense this year averaging 6.7 runs per game for a total of 160 on the season with 8.3 hits per game and have crushed 24 home runs this season averaging nearly 1 per game as a team including 5 players who have hit 3 or more homers. For the Panthers they have been steady throughout the whole spring scoring 136 for an average of 5.7 runs per game, but their pitching staff has been especially dominant have allowing 69 runs in 24 games averaging less than 3 runs allowed per game this year. Mission College Prep has been solid allowing 117 runs over their 24 game schedule allowing just over 4 runs per game. The battle is likely to come down to how well the Panthers stable of arms who have thrown the ball well all spring can hold down the explosive bats of the Royals and whoever can come out on top of this matchup has a good chance to see themselves as the CCAA-Sunset League champs.
