NorCal Player of the Week: C/3B Dillon Tatum

2018 C/3B Dillon Tatum (St. Mary's HS-Stockton) has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Northern California Player of the Week due to his standout performances in four games this past week. We saw Tatum at the Boras Classic Northern California and his bat got our attention there as well.

Tatum had about as big of an offensive week as any player who has been nominated for the award this season. In the four games (three vs. Tokay HS, one vs Oak Ridge HS), Tatum was a cool 8-for-14, with 4 homers and 11 RBI. That's a week fantasy baseball players would love to have in their line-up. He had homers in three of the four games, with two in the 4/12 game against Tokay. In the four games he scored 7 runs, and added a double and a walk to all the power hitting.

The highlight of the four home runs was in the 4/14 game against Oak Ridge. Down 2-0 he blasted a 3-run homer to give St. Mary's the lead in the 5th inning, in a game they would eventually win 5-2.

For his efforts, Tatum has been named the Prep Baseball Report NorCal Player of the Week for the week of April 9-15 and Prep Baseball Report congratulates Tatum for his hard work and contributions to the St. Mary's Rams.
