LATHROP, CALIF. - The NorCal Rising Stars Game tour was held on 6/6/23 in Northern California at Islanders Field. The event hosted players in the 2027 and 2028, some who no doubt attended with the intent to show they’re deserving to be considered to represent Team California at the Prep Baseball Report Jr. Future Games in LakePoint, GA.

This July, PBR California will be taking a team to the Jr. Future Games for the first time. This unique event is run in conjunction with, and at the same facility as, the Future Games which last year hosted over 360 college coaches. Adding to the spectacle is the uniqueness of the event being open to uncommitted players only.

Players at the NorCal Rising Stars Game were put through a showcase workout and then played a modified game, with players putting forth their best efforts to standout and hopefully gain an invitation to the Junior Future Games. However, for events for young players, the opportunity to compete in these atmospheres also has great value as they begin to gain comfortability in the environment of a competitive showcase.

Prep Baseball Report events across the country have been powered by TrackMan’s industry-leading Portable system to capture pinpoint accurate, actionable data from player performances. Prep Baseball Report and Trackman are dedicated to recognizing talent and unleashing their potential.

All hitters had a chance to be evaluated through our portable Trackman unit. Each player received a round of on the field BP where they were measured in key ball flight metrics. We were able to collect key ball flight metrics such as exit velocity, distance, launch angles, spray charts and much more.

PBR was able to collect data on many uncommitted players around the states that is sharable with coaches & scouts as well as help players identify areas of development for the future.
