As the calendar year closes in 2020, there’s still a lot of uncommitted talent in Ontario. Here’s a list of four uncommitted players that colleges should be after.

J.J. Dutton OF / SS / Forest Hill Collegiate , ON / 2021

Report: One of the toolsiest uncommitted outfielders left in the 2021 Ontario market, JJ Dutton stands out. Arguably the biggest arms in his class, Dutton has been up to 96 from the outfield, low 90s with his exit velo, and a 6.73 runner. Standing at 6-3, 185-pounds, he’s physical, moves well and his tools play in game.

Will McCauley OF / Glenview PArk, ON / 2021

Report: Just an overall good-looking player, Will McCauley is someone that needs to be on JUCO radars. An easy swing from the right side with some juice, good feet in the outfield, and the look of an outfielder that’s going to fit the part in college, McCauley should blossom into a legit player once he gets stronger. Keep an eye on him, as he could blow up come spring time.

Glenn Noronha OF / 2B / St. Aloysius Gonzaga , ON / 2021

Report: An uncommitted outfielder who moves well around the diamond, Glenn Noronha is worth keeping an eye on. A good student with his eyes set on university, he’s a left-handed hitter with the ability to put barrel to ball, he runs well (6.83 runner) and has a chance to be a solid outfielder in college when he puts on some size. That being said, he’s got a full year to do that before heading off to school, so he could be closer to getting there than we think.

Rhys Montgomery LHP / OF / Our Lady of Mount Carmel, ON / 2021

Report: Whenever anyone talks about Montgomery, it’s not the velo that stands out, but it’s his ability to pitch. At 6-5, 186-pounds, the lefty has been known around the Ontario circuit as a strike-thrower (he also threw a perfect game in 2018). The velo is in the low 80s, but if anyone is looking for an arm that gets outs, this is an easy pickup for most JUCOs.
