Opening Weekend

It was suppose to start tonight. Baseball in Ontario is back and the Brampton Royals and West Toronto were scheduled to kick off the inaugural 18u season of the Midget Elite League. Field conditions had a different say in the matter, and the game has now been re-scheduled to a later date. That leaves Brampton another shot, this time at home tomorrow to begin the Midget Elite League 2015 season versus the Hamilton Cardinals at Dave Dash Field.

The first double headers of the year also take place tomorrow as East York hosts North York for two at Stan Wadlow Park and Niagara Falls makes their way down to Dan Lang Field at the U of T campus in Scarborough to take on North Toronto.

16u Midget Elite League play kicks off this Sunday as Richmond Hill will take on Etobicoke at Connorvale Park, where the likes of Joey Votto used to pepper balls all over the field while West Toronto and North Toronto hook up at Talbot Park where the Pharmas Plus (which I now think is a Rexall) is always in danger of any righty with power.

Below is the list of teams in each 18u and 16u division.
