5-foot-9, 180 pound infielder ran a 6.81 60 yard sprint. Compact athletic frame. Slightly open side stance, short stride triggers slight arm bar and aggressive line drive swing plane. Hard line drive contact to pull side. Posted an 88 mph exit velocity off a tee. Athletic actions in the infield, feet work, hands play out front, extended whipping arm action that topped out at 83 mph across the infield. Projects to the corner or outfield at the next level. Went 0-2 in game action with a walk.

Nolan Brown SS / RHP / Waverly, NE / 2019

5-foot-10, 185 pound infielder ran a 7.11 60 yard sprint. Ranked #21 in Nebraska 2019 rankings. Physical athletic frame with present strength. Hard contact when on time to the middle of the field, line drive approach, flashes pop at times. Playable actions in the infield, battle a sore back on the day of the Border Battle. Went 1-3 during game action.

Jeff DeHaven RHP / 2B / Millard South , NE / 2019

5-foot-11, 165 pound two way player ran a 7.46 60 yard sprint. Topped out at 75 mph from a mid ¾ arm slot. Bow and arrow arm action, FB has flat action, sits on the same plane. 10/6 shape breaking ball, loose spin, some depth. At the plate, open stance, short stride, low hands, uphill barrel path, contact hitter, all fields approach, ground ball contact during round of BP. Avg. actions in the infield, works through the ball, tendency to let it get deep, topped out at 68 mph across the infield.

Cade Flaherty RHP / 3B / Omaha Burke, NE / 2019

6-foot-2, 170 pound two way player ran his fastball up to 84 mph. #35 in 2019 Nebraska rankings. Fastball has heavy cut action. Hammer 12/6 shape breaking ball with tight spin. Repeatable mechanics with a clean arm action. Tendency to leak home when over the rubber. Strong inning of work on the mound during game portion. Square stance, short stride triggers deep barrel through the zone. Middle approach, line drive contact. Posted an 88 mph exit velocity off a tee. In the infield, corner actions, works to the ball, hands work out-front, extra tap in release topped out at 83 mph across the infield.

Nolan Ford 2B / RHP / Millard South, NE / 2019

6-foot, 165 pound infielder ran a 7.81 60 yard sprint. Athletic build with room for growth. Open stance, leg kick triggers slightly downhill barrel path with hands staying inside the ball. All fields approach. Posted an 69 mph exit velocity off a tee. In the infield, active actions, glove works, extra tap in release, topped out at 69 mph across the infield. Went 0-1 with a walk during game action of the Border Battle.

Noah Halsey 1B / LHP / Grand Island, NE / 2019

6-foot-1, 215 pound two way player ran a 8.12 60 yard sprint. Took one of the better rounds of BP of the day showing pop to the pull side. Quite simple stride with a compact slight uphill barrel path. Posted an 85 mph exit velocity off a tee. Went 3-3 with three singles during the game portion of the event. Playable actions at first base. Feet are active, plays the ball out front, topped out at 74 mph across the infield. On the mound, topped out at 76 mph from a mid ¾ arm slot. Slight stab on the backside and arm is long out-front. Front side leaks open. ⅛ shape breaking ball. Change up is flat, thrown to his arm side.

Derek Holtorf 1B / OF / Seward, NE / 2019

6-foot-4, 225 pound first basemen ran a 7.36 60 yard sprint. Ranked #50 in Nebraska 2019 rankings. Physical frame. Barrel turner through the zone. Wide open stance, short toe tap stride. Sporadic contact during round of BP. Posted an 97 mph exit velocity off a tee. Projects to 1st base at this time with current arm strength. Went 0-3 during the game portion of the event.

Easton Hovelsrud OF / 2B / Waverly, NE / 2019

5-foot-9, 170 pound outfielder ran a 6.82 60 yard sprint. Narrow slightly open stance, leg kick triggers, arm bars, long uphill swing path, tried to elevate everything during round of BP. Middle of the field contact. Posted an 82 mph exit velocity off a tee. Front the outfield topped out at 80 mph, aggressive actions, reads hops, clean and quick transfers to a high ¾ arm slot. Went 0-2 in game action with a walk.

Tanner Huber C / Gretna , NE / 2019

5-foot-10, 210 pound catcher ran a 7.87 60 yard sprint. Open stance, short stride triggers aggressive line drive swing plane.  Posted an 81 mph exit velocity off a tee. Went 0-1 with two walks in the game portion of the event. Threw to 2nd in the 2.06-2.22 range. High energy actions behind the plate and during game action. Vocal, commands the game, encourage pitchers. Sound blocker.

Rhett Jordon SS / 2B / Waverly, NE / 2019

5-foot-10, 170 pound middle infielder ran a 7.18 60 yard sprint. Took one of the better rounds of BP on the day, hitting line drives to the gaps. Posted an 84 mph exit velocity. Simple movements, square stance, short stride, aggressive slightly uphill barrel path through the zone. In the infield, actions work, smooth hands and feet, arm strength projects to 2nd base. Threw online.

5-foot-11, 195 pound two way player ran a 7.61 60 yard sprint. Ranked #55 in the Nebraska 2019 rankings. Open stance, toe tap creates smooth rhythm in left handed swing. Pull approach, line drive contact. Flashes some pop to the gap. Posted an 86 mph exit velocity off a tee. On the mound topped out at 79 mph from a mid ¾ arm slot, repeatable mechanics, feel for breaking ball with 10/6 shape, fade action on change up to his arm side. Went 0-2 with a walk during the game portion of the event.

6-foot-1, 225 pound two way player ran a 7.65 60 yard sprint. Topped out at 75 mph on the mound with a short ¾ arm action. Rocker step, short balance point, stiff front side, falls off to glove side. Flat action on fastball. 10/6 shaped 62-65 mph breaking ball. At the plate, open stance, leg kick trigger, low hands, slightly uphill barrel path, ground ball contact during round of BP. Posted an 77 mph exit velocity off a tee.

Thatcher Kozal C / OF / Waverly, NE / 2019

5-foot-11, 180 pound left handed hitter ran a 6.95 60 yard sprint. Ranked #33 in Nebraska 2019 rankings. Athletic build with present lean present strength. Open stance, arm bar with high hands, short stride starts aggressive quick barrel through the zone. All field approach, mostly worked away during round of BP. Posted an 88 mph exit velocity of a tee. Athletic actions blocking behind the plate. Threw to 2nd in the 2.08-2.21 range. Hitch funk with a low hand on throws. Projects to move from behind the plate at the next level. Went 1-2 with a double during the game portion of the event.

Parker Lange OF / Elkhorn, NE / 2019

5-foot-11, 170 pound outfielder ran a 7.41 60 yard sprint. Square stance, rhythm load with slight hitch on the top with hands, control swing through the zone. Ground ball contact during round of BP, middle approach.  Posted an 80 mph exit velocity off a tee. Playable actions in the outfield, clean transfers, high ¾ long action slot that topped out at 81 mph to the catcher. Went 0-2 with a HBP during the game portion of the event.

Jerett McDowell LHP / 1B / Minden, NE / 2019

5-foot-9, 210 pound left handed pitcher topped out at 75 mph with his fastball. High long ¾ arm action with some twist in torso falling towards home plate. Sporadic command of the strike zone on the day. ⅛ shape breaking ball was thrown in the zone at 66-67 mph. Little feel for change up at this time.

Grant Meyer C / 3B / Concordia , NE / 2019

5-foot-11,180 pound catcher ran a 7.68 60 yard sprint. Square stance, wiggle in hands initiates short stride, compact line drive swing plane. Pull approach. Ground ball and line drive contact during round of BP. Posted a 79 mph exit velocity off a tee. Behind the plate threw to 2nd in the 2.09-2.36 range. Short hitch on the backside. Went 0-3 in game portion of the event.

5-foot-7, 155 pound outfielder ran a 7.02 60 yard sprint. Compact frame with some present strength. Square crouched stance, toe swivel triggers line drive swing plane. Pull side approach, ground all contact during round of BP. Posted an 86 mph exit velocity off a tee. Topped out at 75 mph from the outfield, clean aggressive actions, high ¾ release point. Went 0-1 with two walks during the game portion on the Border Battle.

Alex Wize RHP / 1B / Omaha Burke , NE / 2019

6-foot-4, 170 pound right handed pitcher topped out at 86 mph with his fastball. Ranked #13 in the Nebraska 2019 rankings. Long and lean project-able frame. Repeats well, some funk in the front side, athletic finish. Arm is short on the backside and long out-front. Two-seam fastball has traditional run action to his arm side. 10/6 shaped breaking ball landed for strikes. Heavy 76-77 mph change up with downward action. Struck out all six he faced during the Border Battle.

Bryce Zimmerer OF / LHP / Creighton, NE / 2019

5-foot-11, 180 pound two way player ran a 6.81 60 yard sprint. Athletic build. Open stance, short stride, aggressive pull side approach with a linear barrel path. Posted an 87 mph exit velocity off a tee. Went 0-2 with a walk during the game portion. Topped out at 89 mph from the outfield, shows athleticism, extended release. On the mound topped out at 80 mph from a high ¾ arm slot. Wrist wraps on the backside with hitch, stiff front side. Breaking ball has some down action with 2/8 shape, sporadic feel for the zone with pitch.
