As we move into the winter months and a full lineup of events, the Team Pennsylvania roster for the 2018 PBR Future Games has begun to take shape. In preparation for an announcement of a finalized roster we will periodically take a look back at previous Team Pennsylvania rosters and catch up with the players that have represented the Keystone State over the past six years of the event. Today we continue by taking a look at some of the players from the 2014 team.

Kenny Bergmann C / William Penn Charter, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 9 / POS: 2 OverallRank: 256 / POS: 21 Bergmann appeared in 12 games for Connecticut as a freshman, making four starts. The right-handed hitter finished his rookie campaign with four hits and three RBI. Bergmann finished his first summer of college summer baseball with a bang going 5-for-8 with with two doubles and two home runs while driving in five runs for Front Royal in the Valley League. Billy Brittingham 1B / Germantown Academy, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 67 / POS: 4 Brittingham played in 21 games at Muhlenberg as a freshman while making four starts. On the season the left-handed hitter laced four doubles and two home runs while driving in 11 runs. Brittingham was 7th on the team in RBI and finished hitting .333 for the year. College Bio

JAKE BURLINGAMEOF / HORSEHEADS, NY / 2014 Rankings  StateRank: 9 Burlingame was in the starting lineup 35 times as a freshman at Canisius and appeared in 49 games as a freshman. For the season the left-handed hitter banged out a double, two triples and two home runs while scoring 15 runs.  College Bio

Nick D'Amore 3B / RHP / Neumann-Goretti, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 58 / POS: 4 D'Amore started in 30 of 32 games that he played in as a freshman at Wagner College. On the season the right-handed hitter banged out five doubles and three home runs while driving in 13 runs. D'Amore has transferred to Harford CC in Maryland for his sophomore season. College Bio

Frankie Fraschetti RHP / 3B / Neshannock, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 49 / POS: 23 Fraschetti went 2-0 with a 2.39 ERA as a freshman at Harford CC in Maryland. The right-hander logged 37.2 innings and struck out 40 while walking just 16 batters. Fraschetti has signed a national letter of intent to continue his college career at UMBC after his sophomore season is complete. College Bio

 

John Matthews RHP / SS/RHP / Punxsutawney Area, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 18 / POS: 8 Matthews continued to utilize his two-way skill set in his freshman season at Kent State. On the season Matthews made 32 starts as a position player and appeared in a total of 41 games as a freshman. Of the right-handed hitter's 25 hits, eight went for doubles. Matthews also made five appearances on the mound earning a save in five innings of work.  College Bio

Peyton Reesman LHP / Mifflin County, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 16 / POS: 3 OverallRank: 343 / POS: 58 Reesman redshirted as a freshman at Pittsburgh.  College Bio

Zach Schultz RHP / 1B / Indiana Area, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 23 / POS: 12 Like his teammate Matthews, Schultz utilized his two-way skill set as a freshman at Kent State. The right-handed pitcher made eight appearances, finishing with a 3.00 ERA and a .143 batting average against in 12 innings of work. Shultz also .209 in 35 at bats with five doubles and five RBI as a freshman. College Bio

Matt Tarabek SS / 2B / Hempfield Area , PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 27 / POS: 4 Tarabek appeared in 36 games while making 29 starts as a freshman at Fordham. The right-handed hitter totaled 18 hits including two doubles. College Bio

Brian Verratti OF / Neumann-Goretti, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 154 / POS: 23 Verratti went from winning a state championship as a senior in high school to winning an NCAA Division II national championship as a freshman at West Chester. The right-handed hitter had success in his limited action going 1-for-2 while appearing in four games. College Bio

Casey Vincent RHP / Eisenhower, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 28 / POS: 14 Vincent made an immediate impact as a freshman at St. Bonaventure. The right-hander made 13 appearances on the mound, including 12 starts. On the season Vincent went 2-4 with a 4.99 ERA striking out 51 in 70.1 innings of work. College Bio

Jake Wapinsky OF / RHP / Fleetwood Area, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 40 / POS: 5 Wapinsky redshirted in his freshman season at Tusculum College.  College Bio

Connor Yoder RHP / 3B / East Pennsboro, PA / 2016 Rankings  StateRank: 12 / POS: 5 OverallRank: 265 / POS: 103 Yoder redshirted during his freshman season at Virginia Tech rehabbing an injury. College Bio
