Charleston Post 166 jumped out on top 2-0 early with a first inning HR from Kris Blanco (3B, Cane Bay, 2020). Travis Lott (C/1B, Stratford, 2019), a Citadel signee, would double deep to left field to help the Post 166 cause as they raced out to a 4-0 lead. Florence Post 1 would work their way back into the game and eventually take a 5-4 lead. They would explode for 3 runs in the late innings to take and 8-4 lead which would ultimately be the deciding score in the 8-6 final. Will Hardee was 4-4, and Gage Weatherford and DP Pendergrass chipped in two hits each. LHP Noah Henderson would settle in and throw 5.2 innings, striking out 5. 

- Prospect Notes -

Kris Blanco (3B, Cane Bay, 2020) - durable frame with moderate strength present and room for additional development. Homered to deep LCF with strong hands and good extension through contact. Solid defender from 3rd with a corner INF profile and athletic skillset. 

Travis Lott (C, Stratford, 2019) - Thick lower half and mature build will need limited polishing at the next level. Advanced awareness of the zone and good bat to ball skills. Natural lofted bat path produces easy carry off the bat and gap to gap power. Played 1B this game with fringe avg skills for the position. Citadel signee. 

DP Pendergrass (CF, Harstville, 2021) - The region 6-4A player of the year sports a wiry frame with narrow hips and longs legs. LHH worked the count every time up and showed the ability to bunt for a hit with good bat control. The hands are quick and the bat path produces ground balls and low line drives. He was all over the OF with a long easy running stride and great instincts.

Will Hardee (OF, South Florence/Francis Marion, 2018) - Medium athletic profile with a strong base. Loose hands and whip with the barrel through contact. Produced consistent barrel contact on multiple offerings with a middle of the field approach and gap to gap power. Good athlete capable of play 1B or a corner OF position.
