With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Pickerington Central Tigers

Team Name: Pickerington Central Tigers
Head Coach: Ray Noe
Division: I
2017 Record: 19-11
Conference Record: OCC Ohio- tied for 2nd Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2018 Team Strengths:

  • Hitting
  • Defense
  • Pitching Depth

Coach Outlook: "We lost some quality starters in the lineup and on the mound, but we bring back some key pieces that should continue to propel us offensively. There will be lots of opportunities for younger talent to push for playing time. We look forward to competing in the OCC Ohio and improve from last season."

PBR Outlook: Coach Ray Noe and the Tigers look to compete in the always difficult OCC - Ohio division. Offensively the Tigers should be able to score some runs with one of the top hitters in the state, Trenton Gillison, in the middle of the lineup.
