Summer events events such as this provide players with the opportunity to build their profile with the most up-to-date information and video footage. All players in attendance receive an online profile with their verified statistics, player report, picture and video. Additionally, all subsequent stories written about a prospect will be linked to the player’s profile, ultimately creating a one-stop shop for recruiters.

Showcases help identify which prospects have asserted themselves towards the top of their class as well as who might be one of the next youngsters to emerge onto the scene. They also serve as potential identifiers for invite-only events such as our Future Games and Junior Future Games

Peter Coakley RHP / 3B / Sunset, OR / 2022 6-foot-2, 190 pounds with a lengthy and projectable pitcher’s frame. High-waisted build. Works from the far left side of the rubber. Stays tall at leg lift with a high knee-drive and slight coil into rear hip. Shows some back leg drive at hand break and creates some upward angle with his shoulders. Average stride length with very slight cross action in landing. Arm action pushes back with a quick ‘stab’ then shortens up & gets compact. High ¾ release. Ball shows downward angle/tilt out of hand. Upright finish with consistent extension out over front side. Moves well through his core with loose hips in the delivery. Accelerates late through release. Keeps eyes on target throughout. Stays behind the ball well and could see an uptick in velocity as frame adds additional weight.

Wyatt Norris RHP / West Linn, OR / 2022 5-foot-11, 210 pounds with a durable, compact build. Quick, aggressive delivery with repeatable actions. Gets into leg lift with a tall backside and really rotates lower half back towards 2nd base. Shoulders stay mostly level while he coils into his backside. Slight flexion on rear leg at hand break. Short stride length into landing with clean direction towards target. Shorter stride helps speed up the arm to be on time with delivery. Full, continuous arm swing into high, nearly over the top release.  Strong front side allows him to brace up and rotate over front leg as he finishes the offering. Upper half flattens out over stride leg as he works through the target. Uses glove side well to create stability. Backside comes through after release. Confident demeanor and poise on the bump.

Brock Sandford LHP / Tigard, OR / 2022 5-foot-10, 180 pounds with a developed upper half and sturdy frame. Worked exclusively out of the stretch from the center of the rubber. Gets into leg lift with back leg slightly rotated forward. Big leg lift that drives front knee back towards rear shoulder. Shows his number to the catcher as he gets to the top of his delivery, creating significant inward turn with his direction. Stays stacked over backside at hand break. Lead leg opens up and allows hips to rotate after footstrike. Arm action stays short & bent throughout. Tight arm path with hand speed out front. Tall, upright finish against posted front leg. Glove side stays tight as he finishes the pitch. Works from a ¾ release. Does hide ball well to create some added deception.
