Tates Creek traveled to Florida last week for the Fort Walton Beach Bash and returned home on a roll having won eight consecutive games since a season opening loss on March 15. Uncommitted 2016 RHP played a key role in the Commodores Florida success.

In a 10-0 win over Carlisle (OH), Deaton fired a complete game, no hitter in a six-inning run rule victory. He allowed just one walk while racking up 14 strikeouts in the dominant but efficient 80-pitch effort. Deaton faced 21 batters in the game and threw a first pitch strike to 16 of them. Tates Creek will participate in the Super Prep tournament in Louisville later this week.

For his performance on the field, Tates Creek’s Grant Deaton has been selected the PBR Kentucky Pitcher of the Week for March 28-April 2.
