Player Spotlight- 2019 Josh Fitzgerald- PBR Future Games



This one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted Class of 2019 prospects and select 2020 prospects from our 30-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on August 2 - August 5 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN, just north of Indianapolis.

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2019 prospects and select 2020 prospects. Last year, more than 130 colleges from all over the country were in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are subscribed by more than 700 colleges and pro scouts.

Every player in the PBR Future Games will be outfitted in adidas uniform, cleats and hat. Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms. 

On Wednesday, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position. Each state team will play three games beginning on Thursday.

3/5/17- 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 6.81 runner at this event. Aggressive swinger, leg kick trigger, produces above avg. bat speed, flashes power potential to pull side of field, launch angle oriented swing, 86 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in field, some stiffness, throws have above avg. carry and accuracy when released out front, 89 mph arm strength.

10/16/16- 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 6.81 runner. Square stance with leg kick trigger, some length to contact with arm bar but has loose hands creating above avg. bat speed, gap to gap approach, clean swing plane with lift through contact, above avg. pop in bat, 82 mph exit velocity. Good actions in outfield, long arm path, some length to release, accurate to target with solid carry, slight cut action on ball out of hand, 83 mph arm strength.

8/1/16- 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 6.83 runner. Square stance, deeper load, creates good bat speed, leg kick trigger, dive bomb hitter, flashes well above avg. pop for age, mid/pull approach, 80 mph exit velocity. Solid footwork and glove in OF, stops to throw, longer arm action, above avg. carry and accuracy to target, 82 mph arm strength from outfield.
