Player Spotlight: 2B/3B Jared Hasik (Liberal, 2016)

Jared Hasik (Liberal, 2016) Hasik is a 5-foot-8 165-pound right-handed hitting shortstop.  He runs a 7.03 60 and has an exit velo of 82 mph.  At the plate, Hasik has an athletic set-up with no stride.  He has quick hands and uses whole field, hitting line drives to both gaps.   Recently at the Class of 2016 Games, Hasik singled twice to left field in game action. 

On the infield, he has a 76 mph positional velo,  with a loose, over-the-top release.  He plays through ball, with momentum towards target, He has fluid footwork, a clean exchange, and makes accurate throws.

He has been named to the All-WAC team each of his three years and represented Kansas at the PBR Future Games in July 2014.  Here is a look at what Hasik has going on.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Hasik: I want to study Accounting.
 
PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do? Name some players that will play a key role for Liberal in 2016.

Hasik: I had a pretty good junior year.  We were regional champs & played at State.  Timothy Fitzgerald, Cole Evans & Sylman Pando will play a big role in 2016.  My stats for 3 years at LHS are:Batting avg .355,  OBP .486,  Slugging .503,  OPS .988, Fielding .900, Pitching ERA 2.015,  WHIP 1.463. I was named to the All WAC team for the 3rd year.
 
PBR: What are you goals for your senior season? 

Hasik: I hope to win the conference & make it back to state.  Personally I want to improve my game in all areas.
 
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team? 

Hasik: I play for the Wichita Reds in the summer & a team out of Hays, KS this fall.
 
PBR: Do you play any other sports? 

Hasik: Quarterback for the football team.
 
PBR: What are your ACT and GPA? 

Hasik: ACT 21  GPA 3.88
