Scouting Report

Top Prospect Games East

Plummer is 5-11 with a lankier athletic frame that still has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an upright balanced athletic stance, strides on line, loads down and back, has a good rhythm to his set-up. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good balance during swing. Short to ball, keeps hands inside, strong at contact with extension through the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, showed good approach working gap to gap, has some natural loft in his swing, exit velocity was 88. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields towards his target. Clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short quick arm action, ball carries out of hand, outfield velocity was 89. Showed versatility taking balls in the infield, where his velocity was 88. Ran a 6.92 60 yard dash.

VA/DC Scout Blog

Solid athletic frame standing around 5-foot-11. Plummer patrolled centerfield most of the time for Lee-Davis and did a solid job commanding the outfield. Has solid arm strength and above average accuracy on throws. At the plate the swing is short and quick to the ball and can be a bit handsy at times, but has some power potential. Hit a double down the left field line in the championship game, showing some pull-side power. Also pitched an inning in relief in the championship game. Raw ability on the mound and needs some polish, but could make for a solid arm down the road. Fastball was 83-84 and touched 85 mph. Fastball had late arm side run from a three-quarter arm slot. Curveball was 68-70 mph and showed 10/4 shape. Is going to be a nice outfield prospect to follow over the next three years.

Plummer is 5-11 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a relaxed athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back, relaxed rhythm to setup, hips rotate completely with violence, some balance during his swing. Quick to the ball, fast bat with some whip to it, keeps hands inside, uphill swing path with a strong contact point and extension through contact, showed good approach working the middle of the field, swing has some natural loft, gap power present with potential to still add more, exit velocity was 89. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields with above average hands. Works through ball, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, lightning quick loose arm action, position velocity was 89. Ran a 4.12 home to first.
