AZ Player of the Week: Ryland Zaborowski

Welcome to our Arizona Player of the Week 

 Each week our PBR Arizona staff will choose a player of the week from our coverage throughout the previous week's AIA Coverage This player will be chosen based on their performance or for particular reasons that set them apart from other players from around the state of Arizona. We will try to post our player of the week every Monday throughout the spring high school season.

2020 3B Ryland zaborowski

2020 Third Basemen, Ryland Zaborowski of Basha High School in Chandler, AZ has been named your PBR Arizona Player of the Week for  his performance March 2nd - March 8th, 2020. Zaborowski is currently committed to play baseball in college at local, Grand Canyon University in Phoenix and could potentially hear his name called in the MLB Draft come June.

High School baseball is Arizona is in full swing and Basha High School has already played 8 games into their 2020 season. The Bears are 5-2-1 and have played some tough teams to start their season. They suffered a tough loss on Thursday to No. 2 Corona Del Sol but were able to bounce back the next day with a big win vs Desert Vista. Part of the reason for this teams success is their powered offense led by Ryland Zaborowski and Tanner Smith who won player of the week last week. 2020 SS Bitner Workman from Basha was also in the running for this weeks nomination. The Basha line-up cannot be counted out going forward. 

Zaborowski swung arguably the hottest bat in the state this week. 2020 C Thomas Napolitano from Desert Mountain was in a close running. In four games this week, Zabo went 10 for 13 with 4 HR's, 3 2Bs, 2 BB's, 10 runs scored, & 8 runs batted in. Zaborowski has been known for his body as he really stands out on the baseball field. He has very unique coordination & athleticism for a player of that size. He uses this size and athleticism to his advantage where he has become one of the top third base & hitting prospects in the state. For this, Zaborowski was invited to attend the prestigious, PBR Super 60 back in February that is filled with some of top draft prospects from around the country. He once again stood-out, putting up some of the best hitting numbers when it comes to data analytics. 

For his great start to the spring season we congratulate Ryland Zaborowski of Basha HS as our PBR Arizona Player of the Week.
