With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Michigan is eagerly anticipating bringing the great state of Michigan the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in Mid-February, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

Coach Outlook: "Portage Central has good team speed at all positions which they hope can wreck havoc on the bases. Defensively they are solid up the middle with 2 very solid catchers in Williams and Erhardt, Sophomore SS Luke Leto, Seniors Jack Juday and Jacob Gernon at 2B and Sophomore CF Zach MacDonald. Pitching, strong defense, offensive execution and aggressive base running is what the Mustangs are wanting to hang their hats on. With a stable full of arms available, there should be no shortage of pitching. It’s a matter of who wants the ball and who can battle and get outs. A lot of depth gives the Mustangs options at a lot of positions."
