As we begin the final week of the regular season, Desert Oasis remains atop the PBR Nevada Power 25 ranking.  Basic has solidified themselves at #2 and given themselves a chance to earn the top position as they prepare to play #4 Bishop Gorman and #1 Desert Oasis this week.  Wins in these games will not only bring a Desert Region championship but likely a top seed in the post season. 

The Northern Region class 4A region has been dominated by the Reno Huskies for most of the season.  With injuries to two-thirds of their starting outfield, the Huskies struggled last week, losing to the like of Damonte Ranch and Galena.  They find themselves sharing first place and with two games to go maintain minimal margin for error to secure the top spot in the North.

Pre-season #1, Palo Verde has ridden a roller coaster of sorts, but is ever so scary because they know what it means to get hot at the right time.  Centennial and Bishop Gorman can beat anyone as they each have starters in '19 Kris Bow and '20 Noah Glaser that can dominate a game.  Faith Lutheran has played their way into a division lead and appear poised for an opportunity to save staff ace, '20 Michael Rice, for a second or third round opponent.  Rounding out the top 10 are teams no one wants to play in a first-round matchup in Spanish Springs, Las Vegas, and Arbor View.

Boulder City retains the top 3A spot, but Pahrump Valley (PV) has played exceptional as of late.    PV won some quality games against 4A class teams during their spring break and appears to have hit their stride just at the right time. Elko and Truckee have remained consistent while Churchill County has stumbled a bit. 

Class 2A remains the same as Lincoln County proves to be a worthy leader and Coach Concepcion has the The Meadows playing well. Class 1A Smith Valley continues its ascension on the top spot where Pahranagat Valley sits. Indian Springs falls a notch and Liberty Baptist and Tonopah hold fast.
