Preseason Preview: Millennium

As we gather info from coaching staffs, and come to a conclusion with our Preseason Power 25 Rankings, we expect Coach Matt Royal's Tigers to be in the mix of things as the spring gets rolling. This is going to be an offensive team led by their returning hitters. The veterans in this lineup are going to carry the load, while hoping some of the younger bats can follow their lead. No doubt will 2022 OF Kaleb Duncan (UNLV) and 2022 OF/RHP Seanan Farney (Pima CC) be the headliners on this roster. Duncan is a physical outfielder with bat speed and an aggressive approach at the plate. Duncan is guaranteed to get his swing off when he gets his pitch, and unlikely that he misses it. Farney will have a slightly bigger role to this club however, as he takes the mound as their #1 starter, and a bat in the middle of their order. If Farney produces on both sides of the ball this year, Millennium's record will be a result of that. The Tigers will have a versatile offense that can score in many different ways, but expect the main way they're getting in the run column being from Duncan/Farney. Upperclassmen Sterling Albrand, Henry Brauckmiller and Roman Amaro are more veterans on this roster that have been there, and know the expectations, so expect production from those players as well. Coming off a 15-3 season, Millennium has a tough act to follow, but should be winning a good amount of ball games this year.
