Preseason Preview: Olmsted Falls HS

Last year, Olmsted Falls faced adversity head on with a record of 9-20. wesleyallen

But, this year, with six returning players in the everyday lineup and five returning pitchers, Coach Largent’s squad looks poised to build on the lessons learned from last season.

The Bulldogs will be tested in conference play against some of Northeast Ohio’s top programs in Westlake, Amherst, Brecksville, and Avon Lake.

Class of 2013

  • OF/RHP/3B, Wesley Allen – The 6-foot, 200-pound prospect is a gifted athlete that needs to develop more consistency in his game.
  • OF/C, Kenny Hanna – The left-handed hitting prospect earned All-SWC honors as a junior.
  • 3B/RHP, Zack Yako – The 5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect will serve as the ace of the staff and every day third baseman.
  • C/1B, Richie Rader – The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect will be counted on for his ability to reach base.

Class of 2014

  • OF/SS/RHP, Scott Lemin – Having started since his freshman year, the talented prospect will play several different roles for the Bulldogs in 2013.
  • IF/OF, Adam Asadorian – The 6-foot-3, 190-pound shows good athleticism for his size and will likely play second base this spring.
  • 1B, Jack Grimm – The 6-foot-2, 230-pound prospect started as a sophomore.
  • SS/RHP, Ryan Yako – The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect started as a sophomore and should continue as the Bulldogs’ everyday shortstop.
  • OF/RHP, Matt Albright – The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect should compete for a starting outfield job this spring. 

Class of 2015

  • OF/RHP, Anthony Savarino – The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect shows excellent speed and figures to find his way into the everyday lineup this spring.
  • C, Tim May – The 5-foot-11, 190-pound catcher will compete for time behind the plate this spring.
  • IF, Ryan Hanna – The 5-foot-10, 160-pound infielder will push for a chance on varsity this spring. 

Class of 2016

  • RHP/IF, Nathan Krogh – The 6-foot-1, 190-pound is a mature prospect for his age and will compete for a chance to play on varsity this spring.
