Prospect Review: Clemson

Prospect notes on the Tigers by Aaron Fitt of D1Baseball during his travels around the country this fall.

The Tigers return six players who logged more than 100 at-bats last year. That group is led by junior Sam Hall, who it .257/.365/.390 in 249 at-bats. He also showcased his speed by stealing a team-high 30 bases, and he will be counted upon to serve as the engine that makes Clemson go in 2020. Hall’s fluid athleticism makes him a versatile defender, and he’ll move from the outfield to the infield as a junior. Specifically, Hall is the leading candidate to take over at shortstop and he looked great at the position in Sunday’s scrimmage, showing good range to both sides, a solid arm and good body control.

Six-foot-3, 214-pound Bryce Teodosio has one of college baseball’s most exciting combinations of athleticism and physicality. His lefthanded bat speed has always tantalized, and he showed it off with a towering home run to center field last Sunday. He’s a superb defender in center field, but the key for him as a junior is making more consistent contact, after hitting .215/.295/.403 with 71 strikeouts in 186 at-bats last year.

Another obvious power source in this lineup is sophomore...
