Providence- 3  West Forsyth- 1

Two talented teams squared off Friday night as the West Forsyth Titans visited the Providence Panthers in Charlotte, NC. Michael Forret started strong on the mound for the Panthers striking out 2 of the first 3 hitters he faced. Third-baseman Jake Knepp quickly got Providence on the board in the bottom of the first, launching a 2-run homerun over the left center wall.

West Forsyth starting pitcher Harrison Lewis kept his team within striking distance keeping the Providence hitters off balance throughout the game. The Titans cut the lead to one run in the top of the 4th when Bryson Chandler hit the first pitch of the inning deep over the left field wall.

Providence added an insurance run in the bottom of the 5th to make it 3-1. Michael Forret stayed strong on the mound pitching 6 innings and Jeremy Beamon came in to close it out in the 7th to give the Panthers the victory.
