PBR: Why did you choose Toledo?

Adolph: I chose Toledo because it has the major that I want to go into and because of the environment that Coach Mee and the rest of the coaching staff is creating at Toledo.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Adolph: There were several schools I was considering but when it came down to it, it was between Toledo and Ball State.

PBR: Where did the Coach Mee first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?

Adolph: I believe Coach Mee first saw me at one of my high school games during my sophomore year.   I visited Toledo back in November then attended their prospect camp. I spoke to all of the coaches at the prospect camp and it made me realize it was a place I really wanted to be at.  I visited the campus again in July and that sealed the deal.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Adolph: The coaches expect me to come in and compete from the get go. They believe I could make an impact early on in my career.

PBR: The Toledo campus is very close to home.  How much of a role did that play in your final decision?

Adolph: I was looking for a college that fit me, distance didn't really matter much. Toledo is perfect though because now my friends and family are very close and can come watch me play.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Rocket baseball?

Adolph: My biggest strength as a player is my ability to drive the ball in the gaps on both sides of the field. I feel that I will help Rocket baseball get to where it is heading by doing whatever is best for the team and working hard to make myself a better player and teammate.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Adolph: I play for Findlay Legion Post 3 in the summer. My most memorable experience this summer was when my team was down 12-3 going into the 8th inning and we came back to win 13-12.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team for the rest of your senior season?

Adolph: Individually I want to have my best season I've had throughout my career at Van Buren. As a team I want to win the league and make a tournament run.

PBR: What were your stats for last spring season at Van Buren?

Adolph: .460 BA. 42 Hits. 2B: 8. 3B: 12. HR: 2. RBI's: 31

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Adolph: I have faced a lot of talented pitchers but the one I had the most trouble against was Pierce Knisley from Waverly.
