NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Eric Yelton RHP / 1B / Nation Ford, SC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 110 / POS: 27 Yelton was in the zone to both sides of the plate consistently with the FB and mixed a slurvy breaking ball at will. He has turned in several solid performances at events this summer and fall and consistently shown his pitchability. Given his ability to locate multiple pitches he could blossom into a quality arm if the arm strength continues to improve.

Jarian Pinckney OF / 2B / Andrews, SC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 82 / POS: 19 A freaky athletic OF, Pinckney put down a 6.75 sixty and put up a  96 mph exit velocity. He collected a hit in his live ABs and patrolled CF with ease ranging into the gaps to track balls down. Pinckney has the potential to contribute right away to the right program based on his athletic ability and high motor.

Mac James C / 3B / Conway, SC / 2021 XL catchers build. James has plus raw power when he catches the ball cleanly at the plate. His 78 mph catchers velo was tops at the event and the pop times were consistent in the 2.01-2.04 range. His throws to the bag were accurate to 1B side. James is one of the top uncommitted catchers left on the board.

Tyler Vespe OF / SS / Buford , SC / 2021 Vespe has a strong athletic build in a compact frame. He showed his best tool by running a 6.85 sixty. The utility man could play any of the OF spots with his speed and accurate arm or see time in the infield with some additional development. He has an idea at the plate and turned in competitive ABs during the game.

Jordan Thurmond OF / C / Rock Hill, SC / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 99 / POS: 13 The USC Sumer Freshman swung a hot bat all day. He was a big winner during BP with consistent loud contact. He translated his BP success into the live ABs with tons of barrels highlighted by a triple to the RCF wall. His best position is in the OF were he got quick jumps and showed off a strong accurate arm.

Sydney Mullennix RHP / OF / Northwestern, SC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 93 / POS: 22 The Uber projectable RHP showed a FB/CB  efficiently. The FB has some fade to the arm side and the CB has consistent downer action. The breaking ball is inconsistent at times but shows serious swing and miss potential as he continues to develop it.

Thomas Brown OF / Clover , SC / 2021 Brown has a slender build and a medium frame. There is plenty of projection remaining. He put down the second fastest 60 time of the day at 6.83 and showed a short quick swing that works with his contact first approach.

AJ Tolbert OF / 1B / Orangeburg Prep, SC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 74 / POS: 17 A strong Corner OF/1B Tolbert put up the top Exit Velo of the day at 98.25 via the Trackman unit. Tolbert is a sneaky good runner with the tools to play either corner OF spot or slide into 1B.

Kobe Thurmond 2B / C / Rock Hill, SC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 104 / POS: 6 Kobe Thurmond is an Uber utility man who could see time all over the field, however our scouts liked him as a 3B or 2B. He turned in a solid round of BP and was able to pick up a hit during his live ABs. He is competitive at the plate and has a balanced approach.

Trey Seymour OF / OF / Oceanside Collegiate, SC / 2021 LHH showed consistent feel for the barrel in BP and transferred his consistent approach to his live ABs driving a triple into the LF corner. A solid all around outfielder, Seymour has plenty of upside in the projectable frame.
