Rockford still proves to be dangergous

The Division 1 defending state champions Rockford Rams are still a dangerous team to face despite loosing their top three arms from a year ago. In fact they feature seniors Drew Farmer (Western Michigan), Max Crimp (Calvin College), Tony Dileo (Eastern Michigan), Shain Showers (Evansville University), Ian Stankus (Grand Rapids Community College), and Nick Stree (Owens Community College).

Beyond having a good senior class the Rams also have a few underclassmen that are starting to turn heads. Kory Young, a Sophomore, is receiving attention from Division 1 programs already.  Brent Showers, the younger brother of Shain, is a hard nosed ballplayer with good actions behind the plate and a strong arm.  Finally, Reid Kelley is a long and lanky righty with good upside featuring a fastball that sits comfortably 83-85 MPH and touches 86 MPH.

Be on the look out for the Rams to make another strong run towards Battle Creek this spring.  They will be a fun group to watch.
