SCHSL 1A Rankings - Week 1

Eddie Tisdale
Scouting Director - South Carolina

1. McBee (6-3)
Last Week - 1

- After a 1-3 start at the Shipyard/PBR Showdown the Panthers have responded by winning 5 in a row. Coastal Carolina recruit Connor Kirkley and his brother, uncommitted 2019 Clark Kirkley have this team rolling.

2. Lamar (2-2)
Last Week - 2

- Lamar stays locked into the #2 spot after getting off to a 2-2 start. Their two loses have come by a total of 2 runs and picked up a quality win early over a goof Johnsonville team. Cameron Galloway is 4 for his last 8 with 4 runs scored from the leadoff spot for the Silver Foxes.

3. Branchville (3-1)
Last Week - 6

- Jacob Watkins and the Yellow Jackets are off to a strong start in 2019. Bamberg-Ehrhardt awaits this week in what could prove to be a tough matchup.

4. Green Sea Floyds
Last Week - 4

- The Trojans got past Loris last week and have a huge matchup in Hannah Pamplico waiting.

5. Ware Shoals (1-3)
Last Week - 9

- Ware Shoals dropped two games to Landrum last week. Dana Givens and Evan Bridges will look to get the Hornets back on track this week with a rematch against Oakbrook Prep and then two tough games against Ridge Spring-Monetta and Whitmire to finish the week.

6. Ridge Spring-Monetta
Last Week - 5

- RSM is coming off of a 3 game week and they are staring down the barrel of another 3 game set this week with Blackville Hilda, Hunter Kinard Tyler, and Ware Shoals up next, if they can come out of this week with a couple of wins they will solidify their spot in the top 10.

7. Lake View
Last Week - 3

- The Wild Gators took down Marlboro County last week before dropping two games to Marion. Two games against Mullins this week will be a good indication of what this team is made of. Hunter Herlong and Jordan King have been solid so far for Lake View. They will need to keep it up to see their teams stock rise.

8. Dixie
Last Week - 8

- They dropped a game last week to Abbeville and will have ample chances to prove themselves over the next two weeks with 2 games on the schedule this week and 3 games on the schedule next week. They will kick of the 5 game stretch with Greenwood Christian on Tuesday.

9. Williston Elko
Last Week - NR

- The Blue Devils have scored 38 runs in 4 games and Tres Rimes has been on fire early on. If he can continue to pace the offense look for this team to trend upward as the season goes on

10. Charleston Math & Science
Last Week - NR

- The Riptides break into the rankings after exploding last week for 11 runs in a win over Low Country Leadership. Logan King, Garrett Isgette, Sam Horning, and Zachary Piscatella accounted for 4 hits and 7 runs in the win. CMS will get North Charleston, St. John's, and Baptist Hill next week.

NEXT FIVE: Great Falls, Military Magnet, Wagener Salley, Whitmire, North
