Season Preview Mayflower Eagles

PBR Arkansas jumps into High School coverage. All information was obtained through the High school coaching staffs. We look forward to covering Arkansas on the road to the state tournament!

Returning Starters:

SR. Ethan York- C 

SR. Brady Wilcox- P/SS 

SR. Sean Harris- 3B

SR. Thomas Walter- P/MIF

SR. Kane Elmore- DH/ MIF 

JR. Dalton Muse- 1B/P 

JR. Jordan Robinson- OF

Hitting

JR. Dalton Muse- most consistent hitter, very hard out, competes at the plate. 3 guys really hit it hard from gap to gap and have the chance to leave the yard on any pitch. SR. Ethan York- powerful swing, can hit it a long ways. SR. Sean Harris- led the team in homeruns last year. SR. Brady Wilcox- Left handed bat that has really came into his comfort zone during the fall and winter.

Defense:

 Senior catcher Ethan York will be one of the best in 3A. A really good defender with a great arm. We want him to be aggressive when throwing. Junior Dalton Muse is really good at 1st, can scoop and bails out the infielders with throws in the dirt. SR Brady Wilcox and SR Thomas Walter will be up the middle when one is not pitching and can really play their positions well.

Base running:

 JR Keely Davis can really run. Not only on the bases, but can really track down balls in CF. SR Hunter Hunt has bought into base running and is the go to guy in courtesy or pinch runner situations. Both guys can get around the bases quick

Pitching:

SR Brady Wilcox is returning after a broken arm and has the possibility to be the Ace on the mound. He is feeling better and better everyday. SR Thomas Walter is also back and throws it really well.
