Prep Baseball Report

Senior Spotlight: C Bo Lewis

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

Our goal at Prep Baseball Report is to promote high school players, and give them the exposure they need to be able to play at the next level. With the 2020 high school season in limbo, we want to continue to be able to promote players, even when baseball is not being played. Starting today, we will be spotlighting several uncommitted prospects to help them get the exposure they need to play at the next level.

One of the top catchers still on the market in the 2020 class, C Bo Lewis (Dawson County) was onp ace to have a huge senior season. The right-handed hitter was a run producer in 2019, collecting 32 RBI, but things were a little different this season when he came into some serious power. Go check out the video section and you can see four of his home runs on video. At 6-foot, 185-pounds, he has a great frame for a catcher with a strong, sturdy build. Lewis has long been an advanced defensive catcher, with a strong arm and quick, clean exchanges and footwork. He routinely has pop times that are sub-2.00. Graduating at the top of his senior class, Lewis is a high IQ player who understands that game both on the defensive side and at the plate. With his emergence as an offensive force over the past few months, couple with his defensive abilities, Lewis is a true two-way catcher who can change the game in a multitude of ways.
